Meera’s Art Therapy & Painting TRAINING
With the Meera art Foundation Team
-
This training-process was developed by Meera Hashimoto. She combined painting with meditation, dance and modern therapy methods and created this unique form of art therapy.
Part 1 - Primal Painting and Self Portrait
July 25 to July 30
Part 2 - Disappearing in Nature
July 31 to August 5
This training is designed for those who want to explore their inner world through creativity and also for those who are interested in working with people in this way. Besides painting we include meditation, dance, body exercises, group dynamics, therapeutic exercises and personal sharing.
No prior experience of painting is required. The training is conducted in English; Spanish translation may be provided on request.
Painting serves as a mirror, reflecting our unconscious motivations and tendencies. It allows us to release what’s hidden within and offers healing for our hearts.
In the first part of the training, we start with Primal Painting, where we shed everything that blocks our creative expression and awaken the song within us.
Next, we delve into Self Portrait, moving past our superficial masks to truly see ourselves. With Meera's unique approach, we bypass our mind's judgments and discover our inner beauty and strength. We explore our roots and learn to deeply affirm and embrace who we are.
Finally, we embrace Nature Painting. We’ll spend our time outdoors, painting in serene apple orchards or by peaceful creeks in enchanting forests. Instead of merely copying the scenery, we’ll dance and sing with the trees, learning from nature how to live in a state of constant 'yes,' embracing each moment fully.

Every year Meera was conducting her unique Art Therapist and Painting Training in Amalurra, one of her most favorite places to work. We are very happy, that we continue her work in this wonderful place and it’s magical nature.
The training takes place in the Amalurra EcoHotel and Retreat Center, which is located close to the village of Artzentales and close to the towns of Zalla and Balmaseda in the heart of the Basque Country in northern Spain. It is connected by bus and train links to the city of Bilbao and is a 45-minute-drive from Bilbao International Airport and located approximately 2 hours from San Sebastian Airport.

Anurakti - Meera Art Foundation Team
“I want art to be more ordinary, more a part of everybody’s life, so I teach people to paint like a child. In the early years, a child’s creativity contains no fear, no anxiety about the opinions and judgements of others. His only concern is to have fun. That’s the essential starting point: helping people recapture their creative expression. Once people start experiencing the simple joy of painting, then everybody can express themselves through art - there are no exceptions...Once you take away the fear that what you are doing is wrong, then there is only adventure.”
