In this course, we work from the understanding that true transformation becomes possible only when psychological and spiritual work are combined. In the spiritual dimension, healing and helping have a completely different meaning than in the ordinary sense. Anyone whose approach is connected to a meditative practice needs to have clarity about this.
True help is effortless, without intention, and connects a person to a deeper truth within themselves — leading out of identification with the mind into a state of relaxation and alertness. Healing happens through our ability to be present and to hold a loving space for another person. Because of our past conditioning, we often act from a kind of “blind love” that wants to save the other. Conscious love, on the other hand, is unmotivated and rooted in deep respect for the other person and their life destiny.
This course offers anyone in the helping professions — or those who plan to work in this field — the opportunity to deepen their understanding.
Topics that will be addressed include:
Communication skills that support self-awareness
How and when to encourage emotional expression
Recognizing and working with projection, resistance, and transference
Developing intuition
Responding to different clients with flexibility
Boundary issues and the importance of structure in therapy
Understanding relationship dynamics and the principles of healthy relating
Principles of working with trauma
Svagito will also respond to participants who have personal questions about their work with clients and how healing and well-being can be supported. Participants will learn through crystallizing and dissolving personal issues, exchanging sessions, and observing demonstration sessions. The program includes guided meditations, supervision, and practical exercises.
